Vow Renewals

Updated: Apr 26, 2021

There are so many reasons why a couple might decide to renew their vows, including wedding anniversary, special birthday or other life occasion. Maybe you have overcome illness or infidelity or other situation in your marriage and want to re-commit to each other.

Indeed, these are tough times we are going through and could be the perfect reason to renew your commitment to and love for each other.

A Vow Renewal ceremony is the perfect way to celebrate a life occasion and I will work with you to craft a personal and unique ceremony, that reflects the reason for the ceremony and your personalities, passions and beliefs.

Your Vow Renewal ceremony can include new vows or your original wedding vows, ring exchange and many of the ceremony enhancements from a wedding ceremony, including lighting of candles, blending or sands or hand fasting.

It is also wonderful and very special to include your children in the ceremony. Participating in the readings, lighting of candles, colored ribbons in the hand fasting or the blending of colored sands.

Preparing for your Vow Renewal Ceremony

Six simple steps to prepare for your Vow Renewal ceremony.

Pick your date – your wedding anniversary, a birthday or other significant date or milestone in your life journey together.

Choose your Venue – Return to the place you got engaged or married, a favorite holiday destination, location of your family home, or other special place that has meaning and memories for you.

Choose your Vows – your original wedding vows or write or choose something new to re-commit to each other.

Choose your Ceremony – Ring Exchange, Readings, Poetry, Lighting of Candles, Blending of Sands, Handfasting – so many wonderful ways to celebrate and re-commit to your love.

Invite guests, or not – On your own or with family and friends.

Celebrate – what more can be said?

Destination for your Vow Renewals

Just like your wedding, location is everything. A special place you've been before or an exciting new destination. Somewhere that is filled with memories or somewhere to start new memories.

Ireland is one of the most popular destinations for vow renewals. Are you of Irish decent and want to renew your love for each other in your ancestral home?

I can help to arrange your ceremony at many of the fabulous destinations in Ireland.

Cliffs of Moher to Howth Head, Glendalough to the Gap of Dunloe.
